Curate your Days with Colour

Believe it or not, but the last week all we could see was colour in our mind and colours all around. We cannot tell whether it is simply spring or the aftermath of the lockdown, yet there is nothing to complaint about – the grey days are over and colourful is the way to go.

This week we have accidentally turned to the colourful and would love to share all that we have found. Each blink at a time we see more and more colour so it is no coincidence that it has a lot of healing effects to the overall energy of our body&mind. Yet that is not all – colour is throughout and by bringing more and more of it to our everyday we will not only feel better from the inside, we shall also be able to colour it out to the universe – with our smiles, positive energy and never ending goodness. This week – let’s all smile in colour.

Therapy- Holistic Treatment

WE CARE:

Colour Therapy is an entirely non-invasive holistic treatment which aims to bring balance to the energy of our body. We are made of energy, so keeping that energy balanced within us is a very important job we should undertake each day and through the help of colour therapy we are we are heading closer to that emotional equilibrium. You can find lots of different types of colour therapy – you just need to find which one suits best your needs. We sisters like Sensory bottles therapy. Follow @petitboum on instagram, especially if you have kids.
“People are like stained-glass windows – they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within.”

Flowers – Peonies and Lina

WE SMELL:

The month of May is synonymous with the short but glorious flowering season of the flower Peony, which looks extraordinary when displayed in a vase. Currently, there are hundreds of Peony varieties, from heirloom favourites that have been enjoyed for centuries, to exciting modern strains with colours of peach, coral, yellow. They are also one of the favourite flowers of sister Lina, she adores the smell and the classic look.

Colour – Dream Green

WE FALLING:

When you think of colour green, what first comes into your mind? Green is generally related to balance and harmony. From a colour psychology perspective, it is the great balancer of the heart and the emotions. It is at the heart centre where the energies of lower chakras (once the needs are fulfilled and satisfied) can be transformed and integrated into a more spiritual aspect of yourself. This is where you reach beyond yourself and connect with something greater, wider, and deeper. Green is a mentally positive colour, allowing us to love and nurture ourselves and others unconditionally. As some would say, a natural peacemaker. It becomes clearer why everyone is craving for the first greens of spring – it is not only that scent of rebirth, but also the all covering shades of green why we are all waiting for the spring – we are falling in love with ourselves and the people around us.

Food – Vegan Cakes

WE EAT:

We all love deserts and especially if they are pink or sky blue. Colourful food usually seems synthetic and not natural, yet a little bit of that colour never ruined a child’s birthday cake, and that is why we would like to share with you how to make that colour from completely natural ingredients – simply read and try it out at home. Honestly, we never thought it can be so easy. If that still sounds like hell of a job – come and visit our favourite vegan tea bar “Chaika” in Vilnius after the quarantine – their selection of colourful natural vegan cakes will blow your mind.

Instagram – Colour Habit

WE QUOTE:

“When I rebuilt my personal creative practice a few years ago, I was in need of something different in my days. Something to bring balance. Flow. Joy. A sense of play. Something that could connect me to the heavy emotions my brain plus body desperately needed to process, but was too busy being mom, employee, friend, daughter to truly release.”
Have a look at this wonderful mum and artist on her Instagram or check out her blogs which are truly inspiring and helpful.

Wine – Out Eat Rose

WE DRINK:

There is nothing more beautiful than a pale rose color, yet when you add the word wine to it, in one instant it also becomes deliciously beautiful. And we heard that sustainable production are the other words that they adore. OUT EAT ROSE is what we are planning on indulging on late warm summer nights.

Documentary – Beyond the Visible: Hilma af Klint

WE SEE:

The visionary Swedish artist Hilma af Klint was a pioneering abstract painter, but her place in the art history books is only now being assured. She began creating her colourful, spiritually guided canvases in 1906 – five years before Wassily Kandinsky made his first abstract work – yet she was completely forgotten after her death. The first major step in cementing her legacy was the blockbuster 2019 exhibition and now a documentary film Beyond the Visible: Hilma af Klint. The film’s director, Halina Dyrschka said “I almost felt personally insulted when I read that this was a new discovery and the paintings have been hidden for decades <…> Who would be interested in marginalising this artist’s accomplishments? And why?”  We highly recommend you to this documentary and find out “why” this happened to this talented artist.
